Detroit Half W2D5

Today called for 3 miles at race pace. And I did it! But…I kind of feel like a cheater. I stopped 5 times during this run to catch my breath. I know it’s not a big deal and it’s not really cheating, but it still bothers me a little. I know that just because I want to run 9 minute/miles doesn’t mean I automatically will. It will take time and hard work and as long as I keep pushing I’ll get there. Hopefully this pace will feel easier soon enough!

But I still felt pretty bad ass when I got home and told me parents my average pace. They were impressed haha I realized I like the accomplished feeling of hitting a target pace. It really takes a lot more pushing mentally and physically. I just gotta keep going at this speed thing and I know I’ll see an improvement :)

Happy Friday!!! Excited for the weekend :)
